At the very top of the Col de I'Iseran is a torrent created from the melting snow.
The Torrent is quiet now, most of the snow has melted away leaving just a fast-moving river in the bottom of the valley that dives into a ravine before crashing over the falls down into the pastures below.
A couple of weeks ago, it threatened your very existence with its ferocity and power. But for now, it is safe for cyclists and others of like mind to reach up to the highest point of any alpine pass in the Alps.
