1 - Passo Giau

It's not so much about what you see of the Passo Giau, which isn't much as the gradient will keep you busy. It's more about what you see from the Passo Giau that sets this climb apart. Once above 2000m, the vast summer pastures open out with visas, which, together with the altitude, will take your breath away.

2 - Passo Pordoi

Gravel roads spread out across the mountainside above the road to Arabba. Starting from either Canazei or Arabba, the Passo Pordoi meanders upwards, topping out at 2239m. It is the second-highest pass in the Dolomites after the Passo Sella.

3 - Passo Gardena

It looks like the American West but with Italian cafes and luxury boutique hotels. Life doesn’t have to be tough. Stop and admire the view for long enough, and someone will appear with tables, chairs, and a choice of coffee and pastries. This is a place of sociability, nourishment, hospitality, enrichment, and the recharging of the soul. Go ride it. Tell me I'm wrong.

4 - Passo Sella

Heading out of Canazei via the Passo Pordoi, a quick left onto the Passo Sella, and you could be in the Rocky Mountains. The higher you go, the more dramatic the scenery becomes till you eventually find yourself standing on the shoulders of giants. This is healthcare on wheels. A luxury spa for the outdoor people. An adventure with benefits.

5 - Passo delle Erbe

Just north of the Sellaronda, the Passo delle Erbe is beautiful, quiet, and picture-postcard Dolomites from any direction you choose. The roads are quiet, narrow, and perfect for cycling. Welcome to paradise.
