On the previous afternoon, the thunderstorm rumbling around the mountains broke across the summit of the Col de la Bonette.
By dawn, the road crews had partially cleared the road and reopened the pass. The storm had vanquished the oppressive heat and washed the sky clean. Out of chaos, beauty is born.

Created using two colours, the duotone process brings out highlights and detail while adding warmth or coolness to the picture, which is helpful depending on the effect you wish to create.
