This has been quite a day, originally climbing up from Morzine to spend time in this mountain-top paradise with views to die for and cafes to stop anything like that happening, this has been a day to remember, a day that counts.
The Tourmalet is a monster climb, from the east it's steep, from the west, it's wild and open and long and steep. This is a monster with teeth, and I am not the only one to have been bitten. If you have been there, put it on your wall to remind yourself and others how far you have come. If you haven't been there, put it on your wall to remind yourself, and others, of how far you still have to go.
