Col de la Bonette - Camp des Fourches

Cycling photography print, gifts for cyclists.

The Camp des Fourches are ruins of military barracks which sit on both sides of the road about halfway to the top of the Col de la Bonette. Built around 1800 and used until the end of the Second World War by Alpine hunters on manoeuvres. The ruins can be seen to the left of the centre of the picture.
