If you're looking for somewhere to test out your core muscle strength, look no further. The Col de I'Iseran is the big daddy of the great cycling road climbs with ramps to turn your muscles to jelly and test out the very best. Many climb the north side, up through Val-d'Isere which is tough in the extreme, but the southern climb is where the real wild grandeur lies. As close to raw nature as you will find anywhere in these mountains. Nothing surpasses the Col de I'lseran, nothing comes even close.
Considering the immense scale and detail of these mountain landscapes, we recommend choosing an A1 print or larger to appreciate the image's impact fully.
