The Col du Tourmalet - Gifts for Cyclists. Cycling Prints. Cycling Art.

The Tour de France goes up the Col du Tourmalet almost yearly, sometimes twice. It is the most visited of all the mountain passes the Tour visits. This has much to do with its location right in the middle of the Pyrenees. In fact, it's quite difficult not to go up the Tourmalet, as there isn't any way around it.

The Tourmalet is a monster. From the east, it's steep. From the west, it's wild and open and long and steep. This is a monster with teeth, and I am not the only one to have been bitten.
