Climbing the top half of the Col de la Croix de Fer takes you up to one of the best alpine landscapes in the Alps. It's a place of purity, of beauty, high up on what feels like the roof of the world. Having just passed where the Col du Glandon comes in, the final push to the very top is finally on.
Gifts for Cyclists. Cycling Photography Prints. Cycling Art.
Available in black & white
Considering the immense scale and detail of these mountain landscapes, we recommend choosing an A1 print or larger to appreciate the image's impact fully.
For reference, the room-set photograph shown above features an A0-size print, illustrating how the artwork appears in an interior setting.
All prints are supplied unframed. Frames for standard A3 to A0 sizes are widely available from online and high-street retailers.
As is standard practice, all sizes quoted refer to the overall paper size, including the image, title, and white border.
The image dimensions will vary occasionally from print to print, depending on the individual crop and composition of each photograph.

The print was delivered this morning. It’s a fantastic shot and a great addition to other prints of yours that I have of the Alps climbs that I have done. It was the Galibier this summer…. A beast.
I am happy to report that the prints arrived in good condition, and we have just had them framed. They look first class. Thanks for sending those over! They were a great gift - Many thanks.
Prints arrived safe and sound, and delighted with them, now framed and hung. Prints are a great reminder. I also purchased your print of Stelvio a few years back after I’d ridden it; stunning shots and lovely reminders to see daily.
The print was perfect. It was a present for our daughter’s birthday. She is a keen cyclist and has cycled this climb many times. She was thrilled with it and now has it in pride of place in her home. Many thanks for the very good service we received from you.
The print arrived safely. It was a cycling group gift for a friend's 50th, who had cycled the Sa Calobra. We had it framed in a simple black frame with white mounting. It looked great, and it was very well received.
"I've ridden many of these legendary climbs, and David has somehow captured the feeling rather than just the landscape. The silence, the scale and the emotion are all there. It brings back memories every single day."
"Everyone who comes round asks where it's taken. Even friends who don't ride think it looks incredible."
"Every time I look at the picture on the wall, I start planning the next trip in my head. I'm going to some amazing places!
That's probably the best compliment I can give it."
"Some artwork fills a wall. This photograph transforms a room. It adds atmosphere, creates conversation, and somehow makes the whole house feel more personal. It's one of the best purchases we've made for our home."
"Most cycling artwork focuses on the rider. David does the opposite. The mountain is the hero, and that's exactly what makes these photographs so powerful."
"There's something cinematic about David's photography. The mountain feels vast, the rider feels insignificant and somehow you're instantly transported into the scene.
It's easily my favourite thing in the house."
"The photograph brings the outdoors inside. It adds a sense of calm and space that you don't get from ordinary artwork. Every day it reminds me there's a whole world waiting beyond the front door. Thanks, David."
I love so many of these pictures it was difficult to narrow it down. Went for the Black and White Alpe d'Huez hairpin in the end. Classic picture.
"I've spent more money than I'd like to admit on bikes and upgrades over the years, but this is probably the purchase that makes me smile the most.
Every time I walk into the room, it takes me straight back to those early mornings in the Alps when the roads were empty, and the only sound was the bike. I love it."
