On a good day, this is one of the most beautiful of climbs. On a not so good day, it's even better. Still beautiful, but with a touch of the magical, you don't see everything of the surrounding scenery, just what the clouds will allow. Which could be said for any climb of the Pyrenees.
It's very quiet, which is nice. Very little traffic, and what there is moves slowly and carefully controlled by the cowherds, who think nothing of standing in front of cars while they feed their young, which can take a while.
