Col de I’Iseran - The Storm - black & white

My first exposure to the Col de I'Iseran was late one summers evening, coming up from Val-d'Isere. The sun was out the sky was blue, there wasn't a cloud to spoil the view. That changed as quickly as the flick of a light switch. A storm rolled in as if from nowhere, black clouds filled the sky, the temperature dropped like a stone and it started to snow. Everyone struggled to get down the mountain road in torrential rain, sleet, and snow. No guard rails, a solid rock face to one side a 600-foot drop on the other, in what was now virtually night with almost zero visibility. I mean, come on, what's not to like?
